@rockygems123   I got a set of the washcloth size microfiber cloths from QVC months ago. Well, I like them so much I got 2 more sets.  There were I think 25 in a set.

I gave some to my sister and to my son, but still have a ton.  I never had the puppyfur.

I have a jelly cabinet that is probably 4'x51/2', it has 4 generous shelves. Outside of 1 shelf that holds my LocknLock overflow, it is nothing but kitchen linens.

@CrazyKittyLvr2. I found a good use for the microfiber towels, I use them between stacked non stick hard anodized pots to prevent damage. Use them also to slide appliances like that behemoth Ninja Foodi and my coffee maker.

Had to laugh when I saw your LocknLock overflow comment I have that too.

@rockygems123    No human needs as much LocknLock as I have.

Other the years I have sent food home with my son and ask him to return my LnL   Well, we both forgot.  Before Thanksgiving I asked him to drop some of my LnL on the porch (stupid Covid) because I was sending Thanksgiving to him as we couldn't get together.  You should have seen the bag full of LnLs he brought back.

I wash all  my kitchen towels in their own load---had the same thing with assorted hairs in the weave of my stuff--totally grossed me out too. Also don't wash face masks with underware or socks--

I do have a separate basket for my kitchen linens.  I wash them separately in hot water, baking soda, detergent and they are always hung outside.

Even the hair should be germ free after the process you use.

I wash kitchen linens separately with hot water and use The Laundress Bleach Alternative. The hair would gross me out, but the main factor is I question DH using dish towels to wipe up after raw meat. I cringe thinking about that. I have a wet hamper for the kitchen linens (which is kinda like a diaper genie for towels).

Re: Washing kitchen linens...❓❓❓

I never even thought to wash dish and hand towels separately. The only items I routinely wash alone are microfiber items because they otherwise would get lint on them which reduces their effectiveness. The are the items that I wash on hot; I dry them, though, on extra-low heat.

Those people that are grossed out by hair, how do you ever get through a trip to the salon?  They never leave a couple hairs on your shirt when they pull the smock off?  How do you get through cleaning your hairbrush?  My mother was one of those people, but she at least confined her fits to hair in food.

@depglass

I'm not the least bit grossed out by hair that's on my head, or in a hairbrush, or on the floor of a salon, but hair in my food can literally make me sick.  I can't imagine the horror of having one of my guests find a hair in something I've served.  My family knows that hairbrushes don't go anywhere near my kitchen and anyone cooking has their hair pulled back.  No compromises on that stuff around here.
