Bar cookie follow-up from @ECBG post yesterday .(..pics)

[ Edited ]

Baked today and thought I'd share the method I use for all bar or baked goods I want to cut in squares.  This is a 13x9 pan shown in pics.

Hope you try it! It's easy cleanup too🙂

@homedecor1 Ok, don't laugh at me tooo hard......do you bake the item with the clips still on the sides of the pan, or do you remove the clips once you have put the batter in?  (I can't remember if those clips are all metal or not lol!).

Yes keep the clips on.  They are metal I bought a pack at the dollar tree I bought medium size binder clips (stationary section).  They work on any thickness of the pan I use.

Yes, they're hot when remove pan from oven.  I let everything cool completely -- then remove them & lift cake out of pan.

I put on cutting board to cut ... I should actually fix picture to reflect the steps😉

@Mellyg

you're welcome!!! Thank you actually they are a Ina Garten recipe and they are always moist & delicious...just don't overbake.

I put sprinkles on about last 10 minutes in the oven so they don't sink in...😉

@homedecor1

My original post was the corner pieces getting stuck and broken. The method you show exposes the corners to the pan (my point).

My method is better for full coverage and best for a 9 X 13.
