Thanks! @Catlady Nicole

Yes, there is another 'Market' WM just further down the road from me. I sometimes go there whenever things are out at the Superstore. That one is just as busy! LOL! Boom town woes here in Colorado.

I have a flip phone cell phone. I'm not going to buy a smart phone just to pick up food!

I have no idea how I can use this WM pickup service with a flip phone either.

@SilleeMee   Don't you have a computer?  Just download the app on your computer.  You don't need a smart phone.

Just got home from picking up my Walmart order.  My produce is just perfect.  They were out of the vanilla ice cream but that is not a necessity right now anyway.  They included the nicest goodie bag with samples of Cheezit snaps, Rice Crispie poppers, Arm and Hammer detergent, a Zbar and a shelf stable package of Uncle Ben's Zesty Mexican Style Beans and a can cozy.

This is such a wonderful way to get groceries during this stay at home time.

Yes, I placed my order online using my desktop today. Pickup is set  for tomorrow when they will send me an email saying it's ready to pick up. I'll just call using my flip phone when I get to the parking area to let them know I have arrived.

I just tried to put some stuff in my cart and most everything I need is out of stock. My WM here is the most busy one in the city.

@SilleeMee I do it at my laptop.  THen we go to the pickup area and check in at the little kiosk with the order number we punch in, then they tell us which stall to go to

With the ap, it works almost the same way.  Pick a Walmart with a good pickup area and the kiosk and it is much easier.

@Sooner

I know about that kiosk, I have used that numerous times. But my order is for fresh groceries which is a different kind of ordering process and pick up.

I used Walmart pick-up about two weeks ago before things got as bad as they are now.  It was great.  But when I tried to use it a week ago, they were booked up for the next week for both pick-up and delivery.  I tried the three closest Walmarts and none of them were taking orders.  After reading this thread, I tried again and I see that they are only booking today and tomorrow - and both days are totally booked.

I'm in a virus hotbed here in NOLA metro area, so all services of this type are overwhelmed.  This morning I just went to my nearby grocery when they opened and did fine as far as getting everything I needed.  But of course, I did get some exposure to other people.

@shoesnbags If I may, we are the "Baby Boomers" and a very large group.  Always expect others to do what you do.

Hope you are doing better.

None of the grocery stores have any pickups or delivery. When I used to use Walmart pickup I would call them from my house and tell them I will be there in 5 minutes. I don't own a cell phone. They give you a phone number on the order to call.

Do you wonder if there will ever be a "Normal" again?  I have been ordering from Walmart & Target for dellivery and it has proved to be excellent.  However, I will still need to go to the store for toilet tissue, paper towel, milk, meat, poultry.
