Hi,

has anyone owned this KitchenAid,  what do you think?

I'm was going to buy VitMix's 3500 Ascent, but I ran across the KitchenAid, ; 3.5hp, 1800 watts, and I love the metal base.

I know many things factor in as to which is a better machine:  blade material, their placement, length, container shape, motor quality, 

and which requires more help from the operator-  tamping, hand mixing, etc.  

end the end-  I don't want longer processing to achieve the same results of the other machine or without more assistance from me; also want the best longevity and customer service.

skittle--go to bestreviews dot com and read the reviews about the blenders.  Some good comparisons there. I have the Vitamix that I use everyday, that I love.

I would recommend that you go with Vitamix.  You can't go wrong with their customer support, even though KitchenAid is good, it ain't Vitamix.  If you still are looking to try it, go with someplace that has a great returns policy if you need to do that and buy the other.
