I’ve been freezing flour for years but didn’t know I could freeze yeast. Any special treatment when I’m ready to thaw and use it?

I just use it straight from the freezer. It stays loose and easy to measure when frozen. I just use it like I would if it wasn't frozen.

So I can add it to my bread machine straight from the freezer?

You sure can. I do it all of the time. It works fine. You won't even notice a difference. The yeast is used in such a low volume (typically a tablespoon or less) that it warms up very quickly and activates just as it would if it wasn't frozen.

Thanks @gardenman .  So glad I read this thread and picked up on your hint. 👍
