RIP Ron Popeil

I was sad to hear that Ron Popeil passed away today at the age of 86. It seems like just yesterday that he was on QVC selling his Showtime Rotisserie. May he Rest In Peace. 🙏🏻

His family reported that he had a medical emergency on Tuesday and was brought to the hospital where he passed away today.

Just read about it. Very sad. He was the "pitchman" before there were "pitchmen". Remember watching his Infomercials. Irreplacable.

That's a shame. I'm on my second Ron Popeil rotisserie in about 20 years. I just told DH, who said we'll have to roast a chicken in his honor. I usually buy an 8 pound oven stuffer and it comes out perfect every time.

I'm always surprised at how many times I've used the rotisserie, it makes a great turkey breast. Mr. Popeil was quite a salesman.

Yes, I still have my original rotisserie of his. My Husband bought a larger one from a thrift store. We love the crispy rotisserie chicken this oven produces. I make a variety of marinades .
