Vitamix TSV "sound enclosure" / noise reducer

I would like to purchase the sound enclosure that they are using when they make soup in the TSV.  I need to be able to make the Vitamix much quieter.  Does anybody have an idea where you can buy the unit?  I would really appreciate your ideas!  Thanks!

Re: Vitamix TSV "sound enclosure" / noise reducer

My husband asked if it came with it.  I told him he could probably construct something similar. He agreed.  But, no, sorry, I don't know where you could get one.  All that noise would be a big turn-off for me too.

I'm not a fan of the noise the ice cream maker makes either, but at least I can go in another room and check back on it occasionally.  I don't think that would be a good idea with the vitamix.

i have seen them on the Internet, including Amazon. They cost quite a bit of money.

If you Google Vitamix Sound Enclosure you will find some. You will also find some DIY info to make your own.

We are lucky to be able to keep ours in the laundry room, across the hall from the kitchen.  It works well!

I did not see any on Amazon except some cheaper blenders that had one attached.

I do see that HotelRestaurantSupply has one for $183.56.  Of course, you would need to check the measurements to see if the Vitamix would fit inside.

Whisperblend seems to have 3 sizes in the same price range upwards to $230.

One thing I noticed about this Vitamix TSV is that it doesn't include the other container for grains or the Aerodisc.  Usually they include one or the other.  Don't know how the price compares to those deals.  One of those canisters runs about $150.

The one QVC uses was probably made by the set designers for practical reasons.

Find a shop that sells plexiglass.  They usually custom make items of that material.

We have both containers and have used them maybe once.  We probably should get rid of them and enjoy the empty space.

[ Edited ]

I had a vita mix years ago . It was a stainless steel container with a spigot . I really liked it and it lasted way beyond the warranty. When I did have a problem I can't remember what (?) the customer service was excellent. I do remember wanting it to make soup .  Then buyers remorse after using it for that due to noise and it took 7ish minutes . I decided just to blend for cream soups then heat on stove top. Much quieter.  Most recipes do not take that long and I don't know if time requirement is as long as back then .

I think @Kachina624 idea might be good if you want to invest  or walk out of the room when running it to make soup ?
