I could live happily ever after without my VitaMix but love my pressure cooker.  Just finished hardboiling a dozen eggs in 5 minutes.   They'll slip perfectly out of their shells.

me too @Kachina624

DH ordered that waste of space called my VitaMix...so I blame him on that purchase!

While I don't use my IP every day or even week, I do love it!  AND Oh my word!  Hard boiled eggs DO slip out of their shells like you said!

I was so sick of fighting with shells (and yes, I tried every kimmick out there) I stopped making them till I got my IP!

It's funny though...I know 2 ppl who never tried or liked their IP!

Re: Putting Instant Pot up for adoption

I had a 6 qt one with many accessories that I used alot but then I sold my house and moved into an apartment with a tiny kitchen and no storage, so I did sell it all before I moved--but I did buy a 3qt one and that little baby is with me and I use that all the time. Perfect size for me.

Re: Putting Instant Pot up for adoption

We have a 3 qt. and a 6 qt. and use them almost daily for: rice, eggs, chili, quick soups, veggies, salmon, pork tenderloins, beans, lentils, pea soup, and a lot of other things.

It's great when you have leftovers--pop a silicon lid on and store it, then reheat in the same pot.   You can make a quick soup out of anything almost, and it's wonderful.  You can brown then cook in the same pot too!

Re: Putting Instant Pot up for adoption

Best thing about Instant Pot is the shiny pot that is dishwasher safe.

Still like the old fashion pressure cookers better.

Make sure that stupid pull away cord is secure in the back almost pitched

mine because thought it was broke. LOL

@SharkE LOL!!!  Good thing you figured it out!  I had several other electric and non electric PC's before the IP. I will say of the non-electric ones, Fissler was by far the best I had.

Re: Putting Instant Pot up for adoption

I gave mine to my daughter as a back-up for her own pot. Hubby never really liked anything I made in it other than the eggs...

I was upset because I thought..."Who'd name their pet Instant Pot...and put it up for adoption."

That was well written.  Loved it.
