My pressure cooker, or more accurately one of my pressure cookers, saved me a rush trip to the grocery last evening.

I arrived home from the vet's office with instructions to feed my dog only chicken and rice for the next few days.  I had a chicken breast in the freezer so put it in the pressure cooker, put rice in the rice cooker and in less than a half hour the dog was happily eating.

Without the pressure cooker I would have had to make a run to the store for unfrozen chicken during rush hour (which would have cost a small fortune because I lack "no" control in the supermarket), get back home then cook while hungry baby waited to eat.

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.
