I don't have this coffee machine but another and I wait until I've made the coffee, poured into my cup, put the milk and sugar in (or whatever you use) and the put my cup in the microwave for about 20 secs. You can adjust time. Perfect HOT coffee. You are working to hard to get a cup just as hot as YOU want. If it cools down too fast zap it again.

That would not work for me as I don't use a microwave.

I'm really late in the game, but found this while searching google.

I've had mine for two days now, since yesterday afternoon. I enjoy the coffee, though it was much better when I used less. However I noticed tonight water leaking from the botton of the water resivior onto the hotplate, and when I took the water thing off water came pouring out of the bottom and all over the counter and hot plate - plus there was still water in the bottom of the machine where it goes out to go into the machine. I had to use a whole roll of paper towels to clean up all the water, and I hope the hot plate wasn't shorted out.

I recieved the machine as a prize from a online giveaway a TV show I watch was doing, so I don't think I can send it back as I have no warranty.

Son and DIL have had theirs for about a month now and they like it a lot. It replaced a Keurig that had stopped working. This was their second Keurig that bit the dust, and they just got tired of replacing them after the warranty was up. $100+ every 18 months or so gets expensive. They like the idea that they are not limited to using the K-cups. My husband uses it when he is at our son's house (I am not a coffee drinker), and he said that this is the coffee maker that he will purchase when our Keurig no longer works.

@dmichelle19

dmichelle19,

It seems like if you called the company they would honor a warranty, even if it was a prize. I know that Keurig is great about helping with or without a receipt! It might be worth a try.

Another thing I've heard people doing when they don't know where an item was actually purchased is check at Bed Bath & Beyond - they have great customer service, also and might honor your warranty there!

Good luck! I hate these kinds of problems!
