Do you like all Twizzlers flavors or just the licorice (black) flavored?  I haven't had licorice flavored in a long time, in fact I rarely see it in stores.

I love licorice.  Red or black - I don't care.  I eat Twizzlers because it's cheap.  "Real" licorice is expensive.

Well, I learned something new today.  I never knew Twizzlers came in licorice flaver . . . I have only seen (and loved) the red ones.

Some stores don't sell the black.

Swedish Fish!  I ate a whole bag trying to figure out the flavor.  I finally googled it to find out its lignonberry.

Black licorice is something you either really love or can't tolerate.  I'm one who has never been able to tolerate the black licorice flavor.

I am a black licorice lover all the way. The kind I find generally in the stores are hard, like they have been sitting around for a long time.  So now, when I get the urge for licorice I go to a heath food store and buy the real thing.  Yes, it is rather expensive but worth every penny.  Besides that I have found soft bites called "Aussie" at my local dollar store.  These are sooo soft and are manufactured in Australia and only $1.00 for a good sized package. Licorice tastes better than chocolate for some of us. but do some research as I have heard it has a tendency to raise blood pressure . Good luck!

OkPrincess, I would say Black Jack gum is as close as you can get to black licorice. I really like the flavor.

I love red vines, and I too could eat a whole box, a few years ago my blood sugar got up to 106, not bad but a sign of things to come.  I stopped eating them, and a year later my blood sugar was 96, and has remained under 100.  I don't want diabetes.  Have you been tested?

That explains why when I eat black licorice, I swell up and retain fluid - a sign of increased blood pressure.
