i just received two wine deliveries from qvc today......a vintage wine estates harvest sampler 12 bottle mix of wines and the 12 days of wine xmas advent calendar in a gift box.

i am waiting for the 6 bottles of wine that kathie lee gifford sold a few days ago in ITKWD.

will i be able to resist the ones by the blue jean chef?

@Imaoldhippie Have you purchased wine from QVC and is it any good?? Ihave no clue what to buy as far as wine but would like a nice wine for dinner on Christmas. I don't drink so it is hard to know what is good?

No I have not ordered any wine from QVC. I like a sweet wine and I will not pay much to try a wine and then not like it. I wish they would sell small bottles in a set so I could try their different ones.

If you want a wine for your dinner ask someone what they like to get an idea.

I've had the Vintage Estates mix, they average $9 bottle, I think they're better that what you'd find in a liquor store for that price point. Guestimate you'd have to pay about double for like to like in a store.

If you don't drink do you really need 12 bottles though? These are definitely giftable in every variety however and they're pretty young so they have a good shelf life still.

@BalletBabe - Perhaps check out an Aldi's near you. My favorite wine is from Aldi. It is a moscato. It just went up to $4.99 a bottle. It had been $3.99 a bottle since I started buying it about 5 years ago. I've also had their Rose and it is very good.

@DrakesMomma Yep! Winking Owl! They also have a good brand called Madamoiselle. It's actually good and does not break the bank! Proving you don't have to spend a lot of money for a good bottle of wine
