3. Balut (I won't post a photo -- you'll scream and run out of the room.)
I have to admit, I do enjoy Veal. However, I have no desire to eat tripe, and totally agree about the Balut. I cannot imagine how anyone finds that a delicacy. Different cultures make the world spin.
When we were little, if Mom put it on the table, you ate it. PERIOD. So my Sister taught me to save my milk, and how to swallow Lima Beans, and Baby Brussel Sprouts whole.
So, NO LIMAS & NO BRUSSELS.

I would not eat some of the crazier things listed on here, but I was surprised to see several who are like me: I cannot drink a glass of milk, but I can have it on cereal. I would probably starve rather than eat sour cream or cottage cheese. I can get yogurt down, but hate the consistency of it for some reason. Absolutely no raw meat or fish - like steak tartare or sushi. And NEVER a runny egg!
My husband and I are planning a trip to Montreal this and we wanted to go to a restaurant owned by Chuck Hughes, a chef from The Cooking Channel. I recently checked out the menu and saw that HORSE tartare is served there. We will not be patronizing his restaurant.
