Has the reliability of Keurig brewers improved over the past few years?
After having to replace past Keurigs about once a year or so I gave up and switched to a Touch brewer which, after a little over 5 trouble free years, needs to be replaced.
I am interested in the new Keurig K-Supreme but am hesitant to return to the Keurig brand if its working life has not improved.
Any input on the life of current Keurig products will be appreciated.

I've had my Keurig for Six years, I keep waiting for something to go wrong but it's still going strong.

I've had my Keurig for about 2 years. No problems. Love it.

@Marp I have 2 mini's - both more than 10 years old. Both still work well, but I have my fingers crossed.

WARNING Do not buy the “Elite” model!
I am having a terrible experience with my Keurig Elite, purchased from QVC in April 2019. One morning this past June, I came into my kitchen to find water all over the place. We discovered the water tank had a spiderweb crack that seemed to originate at a screw toward the bottom of the tank and spread. I got in touch with customer service and they sent me a replacement water tank free of charge. DH suggested that we stop removing the tank for refilling and bring a pitcher to it instead so there wouldn’t be all the taking it off and putting it back. He wondered if that may have contributed to the problem with the first one. So with the replacement tank it stayed in place except for a weekly cleaning. This past weekend the same thing happened again, water all over the counter and my kcup drawer, only this time we had company here too! Oh, the decorative plastic panel on the front of the tank fell off and so did plastic shards from the bottom of the tank. I called customer service again. I expressed my displeasure and suggested that there’s a design flaw for this new tank to crack and break after only 4 months of very careful use. I knew it was probably asking a lot but asked for a replacement brewer (different model of comparable value) since the whole problem started close to when mine was just a year old, slightly more. They weren’t about to do that, but they did send a new water tank again - it’s still enroute. Oh, they also offered a 20% discount on the purchase of a new brewer from their website, as long as it wasn’t already on a promo price, and they would throw in two boxes of kcups. Gee thanks. Not!

Funny you ask becasue I was just thinking about "upgrading" my little Keurig. Back around 2015 or so, I was fed up with having to replace them just about every year. However, due to the conveinience, in 2017, I purchased the smaller version for my desk at work. I retired last year and brought it home and have been using it every single day without any problem. I am very surpised and pleased that the quality has improved dramatically.

My single serve Keurig works like a dream. I use it everyday. In fact, I am enjoying a cup of pumpkin spice as I type this.

My older one is just fine. Many items are not just as reliable as the older versions. If it does not cost all that much no problem. But the latest greatest kitchen appliances have a "shelf life" of fiive years rather than the earlier ones that lasted what seems like forever. Sad because of the expense to replace.

I agree! I had my first Keurig for at least a decade. The next one was kaput in two-three years. The last one lasted maybe a year. By the time the last one was dying, I decided that was enough with Keurig. I bought a Hamilton Flex Brewer....it has a pod use dispenser on one side and a coffee pot where you can brew a big pot of coffee on the other. I love it and it's economical. I can buy a pound of coffee and take advantage of bogos, which lasts a lot longer than a box of pods. Best purchase I made this year.

I thank you all for your input. It does seem that in the last few years the life of Keurig products has improved but can still be hit or miss.
I now have a better direction for my research and will possibly expand my choices while keeping my fingers crossed that the groaning water pump in my current brewer holds on a bit longer.
