i allways put my metal kitchen aid metal bowl in dishwasher.last december we bought the bowl lift model with the glass bowl. its really nice but if it ever gets dropped then bye bye glass bowl.

Glass Bowl-heavy, heavy, heavy and very breakable. What are you going to do if you are in the middle of preparing and you break it??? Would never even consider one. I have two stainless steel bowls that will last forever.

i do want to get a metal bowl for back up incase we break glass bowl. i have dropped our metal bowl from other mixer.

Yikes ! I don't have glass because I got a Mexican tile floor and whatever hits that won't be returning.

This seems like it is really a great price. If you see a color you love and are thinking about it go for it! Give yours to someone you love or sell it at a garage sale (they bring a good price!) and go for the color you love. It's something you will look at a lot and it will make you smile! That's worth a lot!

yes it does come in that size in metal.and qvc included the flex edge beater with this mixer.

I was gonna send the gal a link she might consider as another option to the Q for the mini mixer, but, she never returned. Free shp and price was 279, colors available. No flex edge beater included. I've got the flex edge never use it, not a game changer for me

I just can not take the female vendors they have had on the past years. Their voices grate on my nerves. I had hoped the new one would sound better, but have to again change the channel. They are too high pitched and whiny in tone for me.I love the products though and probably prevents my purchases. She supposedly won some cooking contests but that does not make the best vendor.
