How did it get here so fast? Please let me know. Took some bean and onion soup out of the freezer and warmed it up for dinner - Garlic Toast as a side. Needless to say it sure was good. About the end of the delicious soup.
Thought Ricky would NEVER go to sleep last night - he seems to be feeling OK now but would not crash - it was after 1 a.m. That is really tough on me. Trying to figure out why this as he usually goes to sleep easily unless Shannon is here and she was not yesterday. Am beginning to wonder now if it is his latest fad of watching Zombie stuff on his I-Pad. Just do not think that is good for him at all. I asked Sherry why she ever got him started on it as I do not agree. Of course I could be wrong -- but am worried about him staying up so late. He did have a super long nap yesterday but that was because he did not sleep well the night before. There are times when I just shake me head. LOL.
Not sure what is for dinner - still struggling to just do anything. The fatigue is really getting to me.
By the way, 84 degrees is predicted for today. Sounds good to me.
Have a great day one and all and ONE AND ALL, YOU ARE WELCOME TO STOP BY. WE love to have lots of people drop by. Again, have a great day.

Last night, I made tacos with leftover pork tenderloin, and made a guacamole as topping. I would never put cheese on this type of taco, but DH loves cheese, so I put it on the bottom. ![]()
Clam chowder tonight , that is as far has I have gotten in dinner planning.
The weather is beautiful the last few days, and to continue over the weekend, so gardening, and continuing to put Christmas away is the plan.
Have a happy weekend. ![]()

We woke up to 3” of snow this morning, and it is currently 17 degrees here in southern WV. Perfect pajama day for me!
I’m simmering a pot of October beans, frying a skillet of potatoes, making a skillet of cornbread, and putting out the butter, onions, and spicy hot chow chow for our supper tonight.
We have a chance for even more snow on Sunday, and several days next week. Our local forecasters seem a bit hesitant to say much about the snow next week, making me think it could be quite a few inches when all is said and done. I have no appts next week, freezer and pantry are in good shape, we are good on toilet paper and dog food, so we’ll be ready for whatever is forecast.

Hey everyone, Well I am a huge football fan and my team is in the SUPERBOWL! I have not slept in almost 2 weeks, I keep waking up so excited and freaking out! I plan on making tacos and nachos for that day, gluten free of course. I am making myself an italian hoagie ..not gluten free! Tomorrow I will put a roast in the crock pot for my gluten free family with carrots, potatoes and onion soup .. they'll love it. EVERYONE WILL BE GONE, this day will be my tiny vacation. I will enjoy every moment.

Husband and I are home alone this weekend, so we had breakfast for our supper tonight. I cooked 2 pieces of pork cubed steak, made gravy, toast, and applesauce. Very quick, tasty, and no leftovers.
Our microwave died on Friday, and my husband acts like he’s lost a good friend! We need a specific size that we could not find locally, so one is on order and will hopefully arrive this week.

We had delicious tamales. Love those things!!!
My oldest granddaughter who was born out here and went to school out here is living in Topeka. Her 25 year old daughter had a severe wreck the other day - her truck is completely unusable - nothing on it anywhere will work . Guess they still have a lot of gravel roads there and Khelsea was going to fast I am sure and spun out. A helicopter picked her off of a fence - she is doing well the few days in the hospital yet will have surgery tomorrow morning. She has a metal rod going through her leg before surgery to try and straighten it out prior to surgery. She was lucky - she nailed one eye, top of the head, spine, an arm and hand and one leg is very bad. But she will make it - thank you Lord. She did not believe in seat belts. Bet she does now or everyone is hoping so.
They are in Texas as my granddaughter's husband was in the Marines - Desert Storm, Often after those wars/skirmishes they bounce a lot out of the service. He sure wanted to stay in but could not. Her Dad was transferred to Topeka when they closed the RR station out here - he was a railroader. So they went back there. to the RR area. Unfortunately he died in a few years so my grands lost their Mother when she was 35 and their Dad when he was 49. Some things just do not seem fair.
Hope all have been doing well.
Hot here again today.

@Winifred Wow, what a horrible accident! Thank goodness, she survived, could have been worse, but sounds pretty bad. I believe she already had surgery if a rod was put into her leg.
