This website really needs attention. OMG, it took me 4 times to sign in. Then it was flipping pages. Just weird! A friend said the other day she got weird security issue problems.
Kutira, I admire you for getting rid of the internet. That is a good thing. Did you have problems, or just personal choice? We have a wonderful library with internet access, that is quicker and more reliable than the one I have at home! Is it still hot where you are?

How is the weather your way? Any nips at the listing yet? Labor Day weekend might bring a few people. Are you on a lot of land? Did you say it was a 100 year old farm house?

shoekitty, there's no admirable quality in getting rid of the internet temporarily while I still have Windows XP!! I just didn't want all my documents catching viruses. I am searching for a new computer and will get back internet then. Like I said, for now, I'm using our apartment's computers, which keeps me from being on line all day!
It's been raining for days; muggy now. I hope it doesn't get too hot again. But I can't stand this horrible humidity.
Take care and clean those closets!!

Oh, I just wanted to point out to all of you that there is a wonderful thread going in the Susan Graver forum. She came out with a tunic that looks like it's from Star Trek and the thread is absolutely hilarious with lots of pictures and animated stuff from Star Trek. I never hang out on there but happened to see the GIFs that were posted. Go look for it!!

shoekitty- I'm glad you didn't have to go through that earthquake!! I can't imagine that. We just get the constant threat of tornadoes out here....
kutira- Sorry about your internet
Isn't this stuff a pain?
I saw that Star Trek thread, I was dying, it was too funny!!

I hope that everyone will have a wonderful Labor day weekend.
I got an e-mail from Macy's. Fiesta, including the new snowflake pattern, Fall Fantasy and the Christmas tree pattern are all on sale with an additional 15% off. Free shipping over $75. I am really debating....

Absolutely love my Fiestaware. I have been using it for nearly 25 years and I love adding a new color every now and then. If something breaks you don't ever have to worry about finding a match. It all goes and it's all great. Sturdy also, mine has survived 4 moves.

Molmagmom--welcome to the Fiesta thread. I love my Fiesta, too. At first, DH was skeptical but now, he is an enabler--"Don't you want that..." and so on. I am really thinking hard about the snowflake pattern offered at Macy's. I love snowpeople and I think that the snowpattern could be used for quite a while where I live. It is only in the luncheon plate and Java mug so far but would work great for breakfast and lunch.

Molmagmom,
So nice to read your post! Welcome!
Meezer,
Thanks for posting about the sale at Macy's. That snowflake pattern would be nice for dessert too. Tempting!
Shoekitty,
It sounds like you have been working so hard. It will be nice when it is all done. Take your time though, so you don't overdo.
Kutira,
I checked out that "star trek" topic, very funny!!!

We just got back from vacation last night. We had a fun time. We went to the race at Sonoma Raceway. We stayed in Windsor CA, and we were awakened at 3:20 AM Sunday morning with the earthquake shaking the condo we were staying in! Everything was fine where we were, but it was sure startling. A little hard to go back to sleep!
We did some antique store browsing, and we came home with a few pieces of Fiesta of course, lol.
I will be taking pictures. I got two small disc pitchers (not the mini but the retired one). Two individual creamers, two napkin rings, a jumbo cup in Sapphire.
Take care, everyone.

Hi Everyone!
I haven't posted in awhile because I haven't been on the internet much lately. Too many other things going on and the heat has been getting to me. Thankfully this weekend is much cooler!
I did manage to add a few more pieces to my fiesta collection by ""accident"". I went to one of my favorite local stores that carries Fiesta to see what colors they had in the mini-pitcher. To my surprise they were having a big 20% off sale because they are moving the store! Well...I just couldn't resist and got 3 medium platters to go with some of the jumbo cups I have. (I blame Ocean for enticing me into the jumbo cups on medium platters for soup and a sandwich. That's my main meal in winter!)
I now have so much fiesta it won't all fit in my cupboards so I'm on the look out for some kind of cabinet. I hid the excess under my bed when my daughter and her boyfriend were here visiting recently. LOL! I felt like a hoarder!! So I want to have something so its all put away before she is here at Christmas!
I hope you all enjoy the long weekend! No more earthquakes and terrible heat/humidity!
