Used to love Junior's Cheesecakes.  Now I can't even afford 1/2 of what they are asking.  Yes, they are good but now $80!  I know everything has goine up, but geez.

I'll go ahead and make Philly Cream Cheese dessert in a muffin tin instead of spending $80 on cheesecake.

I still think like gas stations, companies are taking advantage of the econony and hiking up prices unnecessarily.

There's a myth that cheesecake is difficult to make so people spend big bucks to buy them.  I've made them several times and found them to be very simple.  I've got a recipe where you just dump everything into a food processor then into a graham cracker crust in a pie plate and bake.

QVC sets the prices.

But if you're still interested in Junior's, you can go directly to their website.  They may not have the combination they brought to QVC, but there are many varieties for sale there, and many are much cheaper.

I have found them at Costco in a smaller size for about 19.99, however they are not always in stock where I shop.......

Walmart also sells frozen cheesecakes in the deli.  Buy a plain one and "dress it up" with a yummy topping.

I agree Kachina. Cheesecake is pretty easy to make, albeit a little time consuming.  It no cheesecake is worth 80 bucks.

For National Cheesecake Day, yesterday, a Juniors Cheesecake truck was making stops in the NYC boroughs all weekend and selling large slices of cheesecake with toppings for $5.00.

Sorry to say I missed it but understand it was popular wherever it showed up.

There even was, be still my heart, a cheesecake eating competition.

A Junior’s Cheesecake Truck will be roaming NYC this weekend (timeout.com)

I’ve always felt they were overpriced even before the pandemic and supply issues.
