JTB Cinnamon Buns

[ Edited ]

Of course it was 92 today when they were delivered. I was wondering if anyone knows if these are still good. Each bun had condensation in the bag and the icing was hot. I tasted one and it was dry and rubbery but the icing seemed o.k. Are they supposed to be dry or did the heat do them in? Any help would be appreciated, thanks. Annamarie.

Did the package come with an insert and customer service phone number? I would call them and ask.

I figured they would say they were fine. I wanted to hear from people who have had these before but thanks for the help.Smiley Happy

annamarie, I know you are looking for folks that have first hand knowledge of this product but I just wanted to let you know I recently ordered Bobby Chez's burgers and I had a similar problem.

The dry ice was gone (which I am used to) but the burgers had already began to defrost and turn color.

If the tub of icing was hot, I would call CS and let them know.  I don't know what's going on with the dry ice allotment lately but I think they need to bump it up.

I've read nothing but rave reviews on these cinnamon buns, so I doubt they're supposed to be dry and rubbery.  I hope someone replies that has tried these.  I would suggest calling Cust. Service and either asking them to send you another order or refund your money.  The reviews make them sound so good that I've thought about ordering them, too.

I have the cinnamin rolls on auto delivery!! I put in the microwave for 60 seconds and I put the icing on prior to cooking. They usually arrive cool to the touch and not frozen but the weather here in NJ is HOT now!! I would try one and if they dont taste right something is very wrong as these are really one of my favorite food products!!! I am sure they will replace or give you your money back if they dont taste right.

Thanks mtc, nicknack and arley. I too, bought these based on the rave reviews. I think the heat ruined them but cs was great and did a refund. I told them I would reorder in the fall when the weather is cooler.  They are huge though! I don't believe these are shipped with dry ice and I did offer that as a suggestion. Thanks again, have a great rest of your day!Smiley Happy

It's 97° right now & my order was just delivered 30 mins ago. Did you heat the cinnamon roll before you took a bite? Each cinnamon roll did have condensation in them. That's to be expected with the temp. I put some in the refrigerator & the rest in the freezer. I tasted the icing & it's good. Did not smell or taste bad. I heated one for 30 seconds put on some cream cheese frosting & ate it for lunch. Yum!!! They are pretty good. DH's are still better but they are fresh out of the oven. Nothing beats that. LOL!!! I ordered the 24 ct on auto delivery but I need to call Q & see if I can change it to 12. It says you can freeze them 45 days. I thought I could freeze them longer. No way can the 2 of us eat 2 dozen of those in 45 days nor do we need to. I think yours are still good & just need to be heated up in the microwave. Thx to the poster that posted these were good & worth the price. I would have never tried them otherwise. I do good to get DH to make these once per year.
