I saw that and just thought it wouldn't take off the potato peel.  No wonder he "hid" it to the side right away.

Like you, Whatnow, I have kitchen tools from years ago.  I'm 71 years of age and many of them belonged to my mother and they are as good as the day she received them.  When my parents got married in 1939 people gifted kitchen gadgets.  Back in those days things were made in America and were built to last.  Now, everything is disposable.  Sad to see

@docsgirl I would much rather have a few good serviceable tools than a drawer full of pretty but useless junk. Please Q get dome quality, made in USA products so we can stop filling up the landfills.

You are right about that.  Where do people keep all of this stuff??  My kitchen is too small for all of these gadgets.

@ValuSkr - it's still there right now.  Go to the ITKWD show for today.  Look for the item, and the break comes up at roughly the 6:40 mark.  The potato was peeled and MCM really jammed that julienne blade in too far before pulling on it.

You posted before I could!!  Saw that too!  I guess you shouldn't press too hard on a hard vegetable.  It's only plastic after all.  That was funny how he just hid it behind the other vegetables and kept talking as if it never happened.

It doesn't look very durable.  And as clumsy as I am, that's an accident waiting to happen.
