@Kachina624   I hate unloading the dishwasher too.

Why is that?  It only takes few minutes.  I have no issue loading it but I would  have clean the toilet than unload that stupid DW.

One of the 2 household chores I hate.  The other is dusting, a neverending job.

With how much I cook and the amount of dishes I go through, I'd say it would be a huge inconvenience and time sink for me. If I were single living in an apartment, it would be no problem though and wasn't but definitely not now.

@Harpa It would be a dream. I mostly stick to Baroque because I love the ones that are A) like a puzzle and a mental game and a speed test and B) I have unfortunately small hands!   

ETA:  Although, duh, yesterday I was playing some little Beethoven piano pieces in an OLD book!

@Sooner  I don't have 4-hand anything Baroque. I have lots of Bach, though. We used to play 2-pianos 8-hand stuff w/ my mentor. He would make us play the Bach fugues. Each of us would take one voice only. He would pound out the beat and we were all on for the ride!

I use mine for storage.  I live alone and can wash my dishes by hand quickly.

My dishwasher is about 8 yrs old and has been used maybe 10 times.  Practically new.

Modern conveniences and technology exist for a reason! The few minutes you're hand washing dishes? I'm moving onto another task if I don't have the time! Or if I have a lot of dishes, etc. to wash, the dishwasher helps by doing as much as will fit and I'll do the rest by hand. Absolutely a 10!

Mostly we run ours every other day but I wash pots and pans by hand.  When my arthritis flares, I love to wash the dishes by hand, the hot water soothes them but other than that, my dishwasher rules.

I'm really surprised at how many of you don't use or have a dishwasher.  Very interesting!

For me, you can take away my stove and Kitchenaid mixer, but keep your mitts off my dishwasher, and Keurig!  Both rank a 10+ in my house!
