What items (other than microwaves, an obvious), are in your kitchen weren't in your mother's kitchen?

I have stainless steel table wear, a hand held mixer, electric can opener, Bunn coffee machine, plastic cutting boards, Kitchen Aid mixer, and ceramic dinnerwear.  No melamine (yuck)!.

My mother had all types of electric appliances, including a microwave and a juicer. I think she probably had more appliances than I do.

My mother was a chef.

The only one I have that she didn't is a good processer.

@ECBG   I grew up w/a microwave (very huge).  My father was the type when electronics are invented, he has to be the first to have one.

Now what I didn't grow up w/in the kitchen was a "dishwasher."  I was the dishwasher & dryer. icon_exclaim.gif
