A couple years ago I bought the small, white Cook's Essentials Rice Cooker which QVC sold hundreds of.  I only used it once or twice.  Now I can't find the instructions and don't know how much water to use.  Can anyone help?

Most of those use the little cup, which I am guessing you don't have. But, it is usually 3/4 cup of water to 3/4 cup of rice. I have NO idea why they use 3/4 instead of a cup since it is a 1-1 ratio of rice to water.

Was it this rice cooker K44485 Cook's Essentials 5-cup Digital Perfect Cooker w/Recipes? If this is it that manual is on the product page. If this is not it do you have item number or how many cup rice cooker it is?

Why would the ratio be different in this case than for other ways of cooking rice?  Isn't it more like two to one, water to rice?  I have one of these form HSN,  WP I think, and didn't care for the results so never used it again.  Maybe I'll fiddle around with the ratio a bit before I donate it.

Have you tried going to Cook’s Essentials web site or sending a email directly to Cook’s Essentials? (info (at) cookessentials.com) or watch this https://youtu.be/eLtgVqsY2lA Or this one https://youtu.be/mI1RJcgUmcg

@Nightowlz    Yes, that's it.  I'd forgotten its name.  Thanks I found the manual.

i usually rinse and soak my rice in some salt water before i prepare it.

i put the rice in the rice cooker and add enough water so that it comes above the rice just to the first notch of my index finger (the first joint.) i also add some butter, but that is not a requirement, of course.

i have been using rice cookers for 30+ years now. i made a batch last night.
