I bring good news ! 2nd one is working. Flex edge beater makes noise hitting the sides, guess, it's suppose to make noise  because thank the Lord the other beaters are quiet.

Of course you have to pay extra for the'Flat beater' don't like the Flex edge. People were griping the paint was chipping off of the coated flat beater , so, now they're making it in Stainless steel. I went ahead and bought the SS.

waiting on the return pre paid slip for the first dud.

anyway, hopefully, this one will be worth a ding dong

@SharkE - Hooray! I'm glad you have a pretty new (and functional) gadget to add to your kitchen collection. And yes, the flex edge beater is designed to scrape the sides of the bowl, so it is normal to be able to hear it because it is actually making contact. Happy baking...

Glad to hear that. didn't want to have to mess with that screw when all the other beaters were doing good.

I went ahead and got the fancy SSteel one. Don't like that

flex edge dude.

Made Dream Whip with it while ago to go with strawberries.  That speed control is gonna take time to get used to.  Not smooth gliding like my other 2 stand mixers

some kind of trick with it. Either pull up or down when you change speeds. Ain't figured it out yet.
