I have fried chicken about once a year. We have a fabulous German town, Frankenmuth, where the Bavarian Inn (or Zender's) makes awesome fried chicken! Its a must do when visiting MIchigan! I never cook with oil or grease. I've never deep fried anything in my life! I hate the greasy taste of deep fried foods.

Sharke thank you for telling me I can get mild chicken from Popeyes. One just opened about 6 blocks from my house but heard it's spicey and I don't do that. My husband would love the spice. I got to try it out. I like KFC but Popeyes is different.

This is a reason we haven’t been to Popeyes in a long time. If they’ve changed the menu that’s great.

Popeyes is just the best.   Haven't had it in over a year because I have ordered the chicken from QVC.  Very tender and tasty.  But my vote still goes to popeyes for a treat.

There is a Popeye's in the food court in a nearby mall.  Have had it a couple of times but I think it is too greasy and not cooked enough.

Our supermarkets have fried chicken in their hot food bars.  They have fried chicken tenders which are great--no skin and bones, no waste.  I can get 2 or 3 pieces when the urge strikes.  I don't want a bucket of chicken.

I love Popeyes. The closest one to me is half an hour away though. It is on the way home from my stepdad's work so occasionally he'll pick me up some. They generally have good deals.

I do like KFC, and Shoprite grocery has good chicken too, I get it sometimes when I do my shopping there. Golden Corral also has excellent fried chicken.

I've made chicken in my air fryer and it does come out pretty good, but it tastes more like oven fried chicken.

I got chicken from a store that guaranteed me it hadn't been under the lights for to long. I found out when I ate it just a half hr later that yep it probably had been there little longer.

My system responds to anything that's not kept way it's suppose to be

Hot means Hot

Cold means cold.

Hubbo could eat it if it's been laying on the sidewalk LOL My system is whacked I hate having to be scared of bacteria on food especially in summer

Popeye’s mild with their mashed potatoes and gravy and/or red beans and rice. I had lunch there a few days ago. Getting an air fryer has changed the way I cook “fried” foods but I will occasionally indulge in Popeyes and with the air fryer you can heat up leftovers and the skin will be crispy.

When I do fry chicken I have a Paula Deen cast iron skillet I got on clearance at QVC years ago for $20 and free shipping that is fantastic...have never seen one like this before or since.  It is a 12 inch skillet with 4 inch sides.

I have the same problem with the fried chicken from the deli at my grocery store.  It looks and smells delicious, but always causes "digestive issues" for me.  I can eat Popeye's spicy chicken without any problems, though, and I always get the meal with biscuit and Cajun Fries.

My DH loves Popeye's chicken, spicy. I mainly eat the red beans and rice - yum!

When the kids were growing up, I made fried chicken at home (dipped in buttermilk). It was very good, but a mess to make.
