If you're convinced (as many of us are) that TT is a poorly made, even dangerous product, I'd suggest you stop watching TV sales presentations! There are many attractive, good-quality cookware brands in the marketplace. Instead of tuning in and allowing a crackerjack TV sales team to try to "reel you in", spend your time shopping for better qualitiy items. Or inventory your kitchen and make a clear-headed decision about whether you really need any more cookware at all! TV shopping can be fun and convenient......but not if we allow ourselves to be seduced into spending for things we don't really need or want!

I ordered one of the larger sets, probably 15 pieces including lids about 3 years ago now, and have never had a problem. I love the assortment of pieces and use them quite often. Haven't bought anymore pieces since then, maybe they have changed. I love mine.

I bought some sort of picnic set (kit) with a carrying case. Was intending to give as a gift, lost track of it and still have it unopened. I have two such sets and two daughters who never got them. Perhaps it was luck that I hid them away and finally came upon them.
People say they break unexpectedly - for example when removing a casserole from the oven. I think there have also been reports of breakage at room temperature. I don't have any TT but will steer clear. (I don't care for the patterns anyway and, as another poster said, Tara's fatuous brags that the pieces are hand-painted.)
I haven't posted on any Temptations threads in a long time, but since no one here has mentioned it and there are apparently some new people, I did want to add that I and several others have had pieces craze (tiny cracks) while just sitting in a cabinet and never been used.
This happened to the very first (and only) set I bought, which was a limited edition and could not be replaced. It's beautiful, but the large baker sat in a cabinet over a year and a half before I got it out to use it, and it was crazed all over the bottom. They actually sent me a replacement, which was my least favorite of any of the colors/patterns and was round instead of rectangular, so of course did not fit in the rack or match the other two pieces. That one eventually started cracking after about 6 uses, and the original 2 small limited edition pieces crazed after making a sweet potato casserole in them one time.
I know there are millions of pieces out there that have performed just fine, and thousands of people who are happy with this product. So all I can say is, if you want to buy it, read a LOT OF REVIEWS before you do. Even people who rate it 3 and 4-star talk about the problems they've had, and some people who rate it 1-star say they would recommend it to a friend.
So the averages on the reviews don't mean anything -- do a lot of reading before you make your decision.

When the host holds up the plain white serving piece during the Temptations presentations to compare..I think Yep that's what I have haha and love plain white serving pieces.
IMO, solid colors or (way) more subtle designs look classy.
I don't really love white, but my Corning Ware French White pieces are beautiful. It's not a harsh white, rather a more soft shade, so I find it very appealing. I also have some of the black version and those are just stunning.
But the new, Chinese-made stoneware French White is not only not nearly as nice but they are the really harsh white shade that I wouldn't like.

I question some of the reviews on. Some lines because there are some haters on these boards that just pick a line to rip apart.for what reason I don't know. I purchased a large set over three years ago and have not had any problems. I like them and even more my husband who finds fault with anything loves them to. His opinion is important because he loves to cook. Don't do that to yourself, besides you always have 30 days to return them. I never registered mine but I understand you can do that on the Temptations website so if there is a problem you can contact them. Good luck! Let me also add I was just at a family members who hosted the holiday and was unaware she collects them, she's had hers much longer and loves them too.
Enjoyed your post very much!! Yes, reviews go both ways but I always read them before I buy a product & "weed out" the ones that have nothing to do with the product! Common sense goes a long way when reading them! I am the same as you, never had anyone else tell me what to buy but always bought something first to try it out and then if I liked it, I bought more! Never cared what anyone thought about what I liked. Millions have enjoyed Temp-tations and continue to enjoy it and will continue to buy it!!

I am on the fence. I have been reading the warnings about cracking and they do scare me off. BUT the square 16 piece set is the ONLY decent square and affordable set I can find in the market. I don't care about the painting as much as I care about the cracking. So I don't know what I will do.
A poster mentioned Kuerig. My little personal coffeemaker has more than made up for the amount I paid into it. The thing keeps chugging along with no problems. I won't ever upgrade or get a new Kuerig once this one goes because I like having options outside of the commercial kcups. Also, I believe the more bells and whistles, the more problems with the coffeemaker.

I wonder why a number of people post that they question the negative reviews because there are "haters" on these boards. But they don't seem to question the good reviews... that seems a little odd to me. Especially given the fact that I've read many 3 and 4-star reviews that "trash" the product, but yet give it a high rating anyway. And those who complain about problems, but still "would recommend to a friend". THAT, to me, is what is being dishonest.

everyone has their own likes and dislikes, but as an actual buyer and user of this line i recommend it and i have given pieces as gifts to others. if it isnt for you then it isnt for you. i am proud of my decor, my cooking, and how my tables look while mixing and matching temptations items in with other serving/baking pieces i have.
