Does anyone else but me try and get as much of the white stuff on the egg yolk off before frying it?

That grosses me out.  It looks so slimey! I use a spoon and try and take as much off as I can lol.

Sometimes I will just toss the egg yolks out and cook the whites. Woman Very Happy

I eat the entire egg.  Mostly scrambled.  I like making omelettes.

In general, eggs gross me out. I use for baking without a problem...but I despise making fried or scrambled eggs for my dh. Now, if someone else cooks the eggs, I will eat them. Yes, I know i am weird. Smiley Happy

@CherryHugs   I do everytime. I use a spoon and chase that sucker down! I get it out everytime. I doubt that they do that at my local diner;  so I try not to think about it when I'm there😝

It doesn't bother me at all....just part of the egg. Honestly, I don't think I've ever heard of anyone wanting to remove it!

No.  I fry my eggs but I eat the entire egg.

Not a fan of either fried or poached eggs.  Would just as soon just eat the white.  I like scrambled though.

Are you referring to the chalaza...the two white strings that attached the egg to the shell?

That's just a bit of protein that is found in fresh eggs that keeps the eggs content from bumping into the sides of the shell.

It seems to disappear in older stale, but still safe to eat eggs.  It also disappears when eggs are cooked.

It doesn't bother me at all.  I never acquired picky eating habits as a child.  I eat the whole egg.
