Re: Easy Way To Make Bar Cookies

@ECBG

Actually it does because you use 2 pieces cut to size of pan.

I overlap them as per picture. Works perfectly and I do spray pan w/Pam baking (or use crisco shortening).  Perfect corners everytime and I bake my brownies in Wilton 8x8 square pan.

Thank you.  I see now.  This is with a 9 x 9.

I'm using a 9 × 13.

Today, I was short of the regular foil and realized I had some wide for the grill.  Non stick would be a better choice, especially with that butterscotch pecan bar cookie  in the 9 x 13 picture.  It has TWO cups of pecans.  Sinful with coffee!!!Smiley Happy

Butterscotch Bars

Preheat oven to 325 degrees

Line a 9 x 13 inch casserole with aluminum foil which should go past the ends about 8 inches.  The extra will be handles to lift the cooled block of cookies to cut.

Grease or spray pan and aluminum well.

4 Eggs

1  (16 oz) box light brown sugar

2    Cups Bisquick

2    Cups chopped pecans or walnut

1     6 oz  pkg. butterscotch morsels

1 teaspoon vanilla

Beat eggs with hand mixture until frothy.

Gradually beat in sugar until thick.

Stir in vanilla, biscuit mix, chopped nuts, and butterscotch morsels.

Spread into greased  9 x 13 in. pan.

Bake at 325 for 45 minutes.

Cool and cut.  Top will shatter.  Yield two dozen.

@ECBG  I just made chocolate chip cookies using bisquick. They are the best cookies that I have ever made. Bisquick has many ingredience in it.

Try it it will work even w/ 9 x 13" -- I make a lot of things in th is size pan -- Although "glass" won't have clean corners metal pans.

I've even done this technique using both 1/2 and full sheet pans.

Happy Baking🙂🙂🍪🍪

Re: Easy Way To Make Bar Cookies

I use USA bakeware that is completely nonstick and very heavy and bar cookies, cakes and casseroles come out picture perfect!  Well worth it to replace all y other 9x13 pans!!

Re: Easy Way To Make Bar Cookies

@ECBG   chocolate chip cookies

                 1/2 cup butter softened

                 1 cup brown sugar packed

                 1 egg

                 1 T vanillia

                 2 3/4 cups Bisquick

                 1 cup chocolate chips

                 3/4 cup of nuts

Chill dough for 2 hours or overnight, dough will be hard.

Place cookies 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for about 10 mins. I use the med size cookie scooper.

I use 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips and 1/2 cup semi sweet or dark chocolate chips.

Please let me know how they turn out, I have had so many compliments. They come out high and look store bought.

Re: Easy Way To Make Bar Cookies

I do that with mine and of course my fudge.  But only because I hate to clean the pan.  Just pull it off and trash.  Saves time for eating more of the sweet just made.

@Pook And if you don't line the pan you get those corners I love!
