I used to use a percolator since childhood. Then when I met my husband 14 years ago, he turned me on to the French press, so that is all we use. I did love my percolator, too.

@tends2dogs nothing wrong with instant! I have some in the pantry for times when I just want one cup. My parents loved their instant coffee. I bought my mom a Keurig and she would use it to heat up her coffee and then put her instant Sanka in
There are some days where we have quite a bit left... then I store it in the fridge for iced coffee later.

@SurferWife I've never tried a french press. Do you use the same type of ground coffee in those?

When mine died, I did not replace it - perk coffee is the best.

I love my Farberware percolator; nothing keeps coffee hot like it does.
Also, I use my illy Iperespresso Capsule machine for individual servings.

I use a Hamilton Beach percolator and so does my millennial child. We both think it makes the best coffee.

After all this percolator talk, I think I am going to buy one. I hate the way my drip coffee tastes. I only use it when I have overnight guests and it tastes different with every pot.
I would like to know what brand everyone is using. I want an electric one, not stove top. The Corning Ware one was recalled back in 79 because the metal spout came loose on some while pouring and people were burned. I couldn't find where they make them anymore.
Anyway, any recommendations? TIA
@Knit-Chick @lulu1 @riley1 @ciao_bella
I do see recommendations for Farberware and Hamiliton Beach.

I have a Presto perculator and it's used daily. Have had this one for at least 7 or 8 years, probably longer.

Yes, a Corningware stovetop
