Le Creuset 3.5-Qt. Graphite Sauteuse Oven

The Sauteuse doesn't have the large base, so I'm wondering will that really make a difference in amt of usable space for sauteing/browning etc.,

 Anyone have this, your opinion.

Also there's a 3.5 oval oven, anyone this?

I'm trying to go a bit lighter in weight, thinking of getting this instead of the 4.5, 5, or 5.5qt dutch with the wider bottoms.

DD is still having a fit about a smaller roaster.  This is a hard one.

Just for me and my quirks, I like sloping sides.

Seems like the smaller roasters are round?  That seemed to make her halt.

Go for it!

@skittles2 - I have the sauteuse pan and really like it. I got it over a Dutch oven because I wanted something I could brown the meat in, add the other ingredients and put it in the oven. I guess I use it more like a casserole and it works perfect. Browned the meat evenly, the base is not that small.
it does not have sloped sides, like a frying pan - but the very bottom is more rounded, which I like.  It is 3.5 qt but fits quite a bit.

For a big pot of soup, I use a larger Dutch oven with the higher sides.
