over a year now, I've given up popcorn and bacon. so be it. I gave it up because of my mini Schnauzer who has bouts with pancreatitis,,,,,,she can NOT have this and we so loved it together,,,it was 'movie night' but isn't anymore. She'd go smell it!! Can't do that to her.

Tried to ignore the fact that at the bakery it was still in the delicious cakes. Well one thing led to another and I gave up everything that had an egg in it. Yuck.
Now I can't eat anything that ever breathed or swam.
Yeah, it's all fine and good until you run into one of those and all bets are off! You can still see those white things in the batter and I've been known to find them in a baked item.
They are easy to remove, but I imagine most people probably don't. I found it even easier when I found the 'Tidee-Egg'. It's a cool little gadget. I got a couple extras in case mine breaks, but it seems to be made of strong plastic and will probably last forever (especially since I got extras!) Murphy's Law says that if you have only one of something, and especially if it becomes obsolete, it WILL die on you. Conversely, if you have extras the first one will last forever. ![]()

I am obsessed with cheese- LOVE it! My favorites are triple cream brie and blue and sharp cheddar from the cheese shop! YUM!
Love chips & ice cream, too!
I just followed suit from the OP's initial post of the thread.
She talked exclusively about the one thing she cannot stand, although she did eat it growing up and on a former diet plan.
PS: I love cheese too! It's actually one of my favorite food groups and would not ever want to be without cheese.

Luckily, I don't eat most of what I make and bake, but I'm still overweight. I don't know if we are born with these obsessions or if they are taught to us, but I am definitely food obsessed. My husband can go all day without eating. He literally forgets to eat. That will never, ever happen to me.
I'm absolutely with you on this, house_cat. As far back as I can remember, I have always had a passion, an obsession, for food. I love every aspect, i.e., the textures, shapes, aromas, colors, flavors. We, in this country, are blessed with a wide array of choice, and I sincerely wish more people would take advantage of it instead of the polyester 'food' they think is quicker and easier.
I'm going to submit this now and head to the kitchen to try a new recipe for a sweet potato coffee cake. Just imagine the blended aromas that will soon emit from my oven and fill our home on this beautiful Autumn day--nutmeg, brown sugar, sweet potatoes, vanilla, butter, cinnamon, pecans, et al.

Egg whites, unless they are disguised in scrambled eggs or cut up in potato salad with lots of other stuff to hide them. Hot dogs, bologna or any similar ground meat. DD has an aversion to hot tomatoes, as in the diced in chili. But she can eat cold in salads, go figure.

I love soups. I love making soups. I love eating soups at home (and yet I rarely order soup in a restaurant, go figure.)
I also rarely have this crud in the house, but my kids twisted my arm and I ended up with Poptarts in my grocery cart. We tried the pumpkin ones and they're just fine. But give me the ones that my mother wouldn't buy for me as a kid--strawberry frosted--and I can go nuts. There is no nutritional value in these things. This is why I rarely bring them in the house.
I also adore cheese of any kind. The gooey-er and stinkier often the better.

To the original poster, not sure if you mean a favorite food or the opposite?
If it's favorite, it would be Japanese food. I would eat it every single day if I could!!!...
