Re: Disappointed with the Carla Hall products

All of QVC’s kitchen shows have mostly cheap trinkets. Vary rare to find quality anything in their kitchen products. I quit watching them years ago, just review items after show has aired. Plus, I get to avoid David rudely interrupting those presenting with his giving colors, over, and over, and over, again.

I agree -- same old products with her name on it.  Saw the butter keeper on You Tube.  It's been around a long time -- not her idea.

Agreed. It's been on ITKWD every week. Enough.

C'mon now, doesn't everyone need a fat keeper sitting on their counter or in their fridge to flavor their food?!  Yucko!!

The empty olive paste jar I use works just fine and was free!

I do like Carla Hall but not enough to spend stupid amounts of money for her name on anything----these chefs must think their names are the golden goose and will make you a better  cook---a big fat NOPE!!!!

Re: Disappointed with the Carla Hall products

If it has a vinyl sticker with a celeb's name on it....it's yard sale junk.

QVC's offerings are getting more boring by the week.

So yawningly predictable.

Air fryers, pots and pans, teapots, knives, slap-chopper/mandolines, can openers, etc etc etc...

NONE of these "stars" are spending ONE second crafting this stuff late at night in their garages, bent over a workbench, tongue sticking out, in the spare light of a 40W bulb, making Emeril's Air Fryer, Carla's electric tea pot or butter dish, Paula Deen cheap "hammered" cast iron (did SHE hammer it?!?!?) or any other of the hundreds of items that had some vinyl sticker slapped on it in a factory in China, with some B-list chef or celeb's name.

Even Lidia Bastiancih was hawking dishes a few months back....when they turned them over on camera, they were clearly stamped "Made in China".!!!

I guess it was in the Italian village in China!!! (/S)

Are we still THAT gullible?!?!??!?

PS I'm not knocking the country of origin. They were asked to produce this mass produced/stickered stuff. For US. And SOMEONE here is buying tons of it!!!That would be us too!!!!

@geegerbee

And yet...it's a year since your post, and she's STILL on QVC!!

SOMEONE is buying this stuff.

(and NO I'm not picking on just her....ALL the still offered celeb chef stuff.)

Re: Disappointed with the Carla Hall products

Let's look in on the Vinyl Sticker Plant in China....

Phone rings on the walll.......Brrrriiiiiiiinnnnnngggg!!!

Plant supervisor picks it up....we hear his side of the conversation, so have to guess what he's referring to....let's listen in.....

"You need 10,000 sitickers with who's name? Spell it please....OK. Got it.

Order will be ready in one day, ready to ship. Where do we send them?

OK...Yeah....we do a lot of business with that cookware/small appliance plant....seems like every week we get an order for some "chef" or "celebrity" or "Voice Winner' ( whatever that is....)....we can do it!!!

Yep..OK ..thanks!!

We look forward to more of your business!!!"

Re: Disappointed with the Carla Hall products

I like Carla Hall and have several of her products. I especially like her mini loaf pans because they have useable handles on each end. I bought some a couple of years ago from  Curtis Stone and don't like them at all because of the handle issue - his have no handles to grab when getting items out of the oven. I also just bought the 10" fry pan with lid. I've been looking for one that size with a lid, and it's a great price today. As far as her not lasting on the Q, I think she'll do just fine. She's no nonsense and has good products at fair prices, especially the no-stick pans which work well for me.
