I think that makes sense @SahmIam, if it's done that way. Particularly for one living alone.

I unde stand what you are saying.There are two of us, and we just st quickly wash up as we go. Iit takes so little time. I hardly use the dishwasher. My mom lives alone, and she was rinsing dishes and letting them sit in the dw fir a week til it was full. I read an article about bacteria growth, and now she does the few dishes she uses by hand as she dirties them. It is safer, that's all.

Me? Yup. It means in the dishwasher. I do not wash dishes (she says, haughtily ). I despise everything about washing dishes by hand and I simply will not do it. I really hate dish-washing.

Last year, our dishwasher died when the circuit panel melted down. I hand-washed dishes and DH dried, for about a month. Finally I said, "I don't mind cooking, but I am not washing another dish! If we don't get a dishwasher within the next week, I am not cooking and I am not baking! I refuse! Make your own cookies!" By the end of that week, the Bosch was installed.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
