I think David, Lisa and Pat are all burned out and it shows big time. The three of them are uncomfortable to watch. Can't say as I blame them and surprised anyone would stay at that boring job for so many, many years.

Junebug, Pat does seem burned out -- more than anyone. I just feel Pat is going through the motions now. Pat has not had a zest in her step in many years now.

David is obsessed with how many people are the phone lines. Watch next Sunday and see how many times he tells us. He even interrupts the guests to fill us in on how many are sold and how many are on the phone lines. I don't really care how many are on the phone lines. QVC seldom has a sellout.

I don't think it's a boring job, quite the opposite. However, I do agree that the three you name to seem burned out and just going through the motions. They are getting hard to watch. Jill and Marybeth have been there a long time, but they don't seem the same way. Maybe it's because they are also busy with their families or maybe they don't work as many hours.

I was watching him a little today and to tell the truth, I was getting an upset stomach.

He was running around, talking fast, spinning around, doing the happy dance.

All the while eating bite after bite of meatloaf, banana cream pudding, lobster, Corky's ribs, mac and cheese, etc.

I'm sure there was a lot more and a lot after I watched.

I kept waiting for him to puke.

He should be careful or he might choke.

I do like David, but I think that maybe he should tone it down a little, just for his own good.

Great post! LOL!

Or, it could just be that morale is incredibly low at QVC for reasons we know nothing about....

Some points

I had read the ITKWD is one of or the highest grossing program on the Q so the pressure to keep the money rolling in must be high.

I get the impression that David practices everything he says about a product as though it is a play so he can just reel it off during the show, maybe that is what is making the OP think he is distracted as sometimes it sounds unnatural.

I think 3/4/5 hours one on day is guaranteed to burn out the host and viewer.

They need new products to keep the viewer wanting to turn on the TV and see what is there, which they don't have now.

Stop bringing 5+ colors of an item and spending so much time on that. 2 color choices on a chopper and that is enough.

QVC seems obsessed with finding one thing that works and running into the ground

It's all the wild colors that drive sales. How many people REALLY need a new hand mixer or chopper? I think lots of the sales are simply color driven--people see something pretty, want it, and get talked into buying it because of color. Makeup now looks like candy and people are wild to buy it. Now really, how much makeup does one need?
