I just re-read my text. I thought about it. Here I am thinking I know what's going on (or could be going on with David).

The plain and simple truth is that it is none of my business. Now I can tell myself, "I am concerned because I like him". But come on, really?

I don't even know him! I need to just bow out and admit that I have no idea what's going on with him except to say that even I notice he is having difficulty and to figure he'll be OK.

I have watched the Waltons today. What David ate, how distracted he was didn't come across my mind. Love the Waltons. Good night everyone.

So now everyone has diagnosed David burnout? All it takes is for one person to set the ball rolling.

I agree with you 100% David isn't enjoying himself anymore, he seems very distracted on the air, perhaps he is bored presenting the same products over and over again and maybe he is tired of hosting in the kitchen which I don't think is his forte, he's not a chef and I don't think cooking is his life's work. I think he is a great salesmen and does well presenting other items on the Q.

I agree with both of you. I am not watching regularly, but David DOES seem to be slightly off his "norm". I like David alot, so definately bashing here. It actually seems that ALL the hosts are "burnt out". Qvc just isn't what it used to be. i can barely stand to watch an entire hr. anymore (& usually don't).

Yesterday it seemed like he had orders to sell out the Vitamix unit-I had never heard him say they would demo the item until it was gone. Normally they have him spinning, literally, from item to item. I do agree that someone needs to put more new products in his shows, and to send him out of the studio at least once every couple of months. To the kitchen trade show, to food shows - skip a stupid talkshow and send him someplace smart. Also eating everything is not necessary. We get it - it works. Let the man focus on the kitchen and don't have him selling an hour of beds, too.

I think all the older hosts show signs of burnout. They used to have fun, with each other and with the vendors and callers; more relaxed, I think. The onus from management is sell, sell, SELL. There was a variety of products, not this long infomercial that the Q has become. I have the Q on for background noise and from habit; if I hear that tune "and the feeling grows" one more time, I think I'LL puke! LOL!

I think any show over three hours is just too long. He's burned out? I'm burned out. I don't even bother when I see these marathon schedules posted.
