You know we talk about all of the Hosts and it is true they probably get paid really, really well.

But I can't imagine saying the same thing over and over. It must be difficult on their bodies (some of them) work way different hours.

Just a lot on their bodies. That's all I'm saying. Maybe it's just taking a toll on his body. I wouldn't want to do it. I live fairly well. If someone offered me one of their jobs I'd say, "No thanks".

Anyway, I'm not crying for any of them. I'm just saying maybe David is burnt out some. I saw him today when he had to take over from Carolyn (I watched for maybe 10 minutes).

He had to play 'catch up' because (no fault of her own) Carolyn was late getting out of a call from a lovely lady about her sleep number bed. She briefly apologized and it was all done very well. However, I noticed David was a little (I'm thinking) maybe upset at playing catch up. He did. He talked very, very fast (he's good) and my guess is he caught up.

Just an observation. Doesn't mean anything. Just an observation.

Besides, he's very close to his Mom. Maybe she hasn't been well. None of us knows what's going on. I get indigestion just watching him taste all of that food. I can hear his stomach doing flip flops from my tv!!

It's like any other job. After 20 years it just isn't as fun or new.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

Nancy, you might be right. I'm sure there are plenty of people hee who'd agree with you.

David isn't just interacting with the product vendor that you see him with on camera. He also has someone talking to him through his ear piece and a camera crew that may be trying to communicate with him. Sometimes it just might be too much going on at the same time. Most of the time he handles it well but occasionally I'm sure it gets to be a bit much and something suffers because of it.

I agree with you 100% David isn't enjoying himself anymore, he seems very distracted on the air, perhaps he is bored presenting the same products over and over again and maybe he is tired of hosting in the kitchen which I don't think is his forte, he's not a chef and I don't think cooking is his life's work. I think he is a great salesmen and does well presenting other items on the Q.

4 hours straight on is a horror. Yikes! Just think about that chore....And, there always has been friction between David and Bob Warden.

Maybe he's ready to try other things. Maybe he's thinking about going back to one of the other jobs he had before QVC.

I thought it was just me, so glad to read the other observations. I used to always watch the kitchen shows once pro football was over for the year and enjoyed David - but in recent weeks, he is so hyper and talks so much and fast, that I can't watch him. I feel like I am being chased and almost start panting. Some of the other hosts have gone hyper, too and I don't care what they are selling, I turn it off.

Those host jobs can't be easy - so I admire all of them for trying it. Some are good at it - others I avoid. If David is burned out - hope he gets a break of a few weeks. He seems like such a nice guy.
