Yeahhhh for you!  Ha ha ha...I love me a chick-fil-a...I stop often when I go to Aldi's as it's right across the highway. Try their milkshakes! They are real milkshakes and yumo.

Now, if I could only show my husband how to work the stove 😉

Re: Chick-Fil-A

[ Edited ]

Chick Fil A is the only restaurant when I got to the window I was told the woman a head of me had paid for my order.  I did the same the next time I was there for the woman behind me.  Not as many pay with cash anymore but there are still some still out there.  I have never tried their shakes maybe I should they look so good in their photos.

Jeepers--I have never heard so much passion expressed for Chick-Fil-A, which is everywhere over here.

We will eat a quick lunch there occasionally, but fast food is rarely on my dinner menu.

Well, since you enjoy it so much, perhaps you should buy stock or buy into a franchise.  They seem to be very, very popular (and fast)  with the drive-through crowd!

I tried that long time ago, my financial advisor said it's a private owned company , family deal and they haven't gone public. Here in Amarillo, they have the traffic out on the road trying to get in blocking traffic. I wouldn't wait that long for nothing. I wanted a piece of the action and try to buy stock, nope, nobody can.

If they ever go public, I'm in. LOL

I love chick-fil-a and am fortunate enough to have 4 of them within 15 minutes of my house.

I'm laughing at all of these posts saying there is always a wait.  The lines at the chick-fil-a's I visit are always long as well, but I never stopped to think that it was like that all over the country (small minded of me, I know).  The lines do move quickly, however.  In my opinion, the food is worth the wait.

I can echo the long lines and popularity of this restaurant. Like the food a lot, and I am addicted to their sauce/dressing, which I can now purchase at my Hy-Vee. I am never without it!

our chick fil a stores always have long lines and they have been open for years! they often create traffic jams on major streets. yes, that is how popular they are! @SurferWife  if you like milkshakes, wait until they bring in the peppermint milkshake for the holidays!

a hint if you are a member of sams club or know a member of sams club. these nuggets come pretty darn close to the ones at chick fil a. they also have the sandwich AND the waffle fries.

@sunshine45   I'm a SAMS club member and have seen, but never tried, those chicken nuggets.  Thanks so much for the tip; good to know.

And speaking of milkshakes, Chick-Fil-A's limited time peach milkshake in the summer is also delicious!!

I know most Chick-Fil-A locations near me have gone to the two lane system, including the Order Takers in the lanes to move things along. It's been a big improvement.

And as good as the food is, even better is their pleasant customer service. In all the years I've gone to them they have NEVER screwed up an order, even down to receiving correct dipping sauces. Don't think I can say that about any other fast food company.

This thread sure has me wishing there was a Chik-fil-a in my area.  An application for a restaurant was made to the city council of a town in the area a couple years ago, but it never was approved.  I heard on the radio that the city wanted them to resubmit a plan for better traffic flow when entering the drive-through lanes from the public thoroughfare.  Maybe someday.

You make a very good point @Etoile308 and one that I had forgotten about.  I don't believe they ever messed up one of my orders either and, more importantly, the staff are all extremely nice and polite.
