SOOOO I had to return a Nutri Bullet from HSN. It was $99 and Free Shipping. WELL no one tells you that IF you dare to return it-it wont be cheap!!!

Just got back from the Post Office where I had to pay $34 including the insurance to send this thing back!! I was very mad but didn't say anything there.

The other choice was Priority Mail for $102!!!

I called HSN and asked if they will refund the Shipping but they said Sorry but No.

THEY Said that SOME COMPANIES are not in the EZ returns OTHER WISE it would have only cost $9.95!!!

Of course when you order stuff you have no clue what you might have to pay if you dare return it!!

I am about done with ordering anything from Shopping Channels except what I know about!!!

Thanks for letting me vent! {#emotions_dlg.crying}

So agree, the big alert is the "sizing feedback" for each item. What that really means is, we,QVC, don't have a clue how this item is sized because we can't control the variations from our vendors even in the same item, so we'll leave it up to the customers to let each other know. I'm done returning shoes that are a different size than the same pair I bought before!

That is crazy too and I am pretty well done with ordering any thing on a shopping channel!! Unless it is something I know about. The quality control is not good on anything, anywhere anymore!

If you were returning it because it was defective it should be on their dime. Will they reimburse you?

Was this in an oversized package? I cannot imagine shipping being so much otherwise.

Why didnt you use their return label? How much would that have been?

How much did this thing weigh? It sounds like it must be the size and weight of a large microwave oven to cost that much for shipping - or, you got ripped off.

Doesn't hsn have those return labels? I thought they had them before QVC did and the cost was reasonable, especially if it's something that huge and heavy.

Word to the wise - next time, before shipping something, go online and get rates from whichever carriers you are likely to use (i.e. USPS, UPS, etc). Last time I shipped something that cost that much it was oversized and going to Singapore.

There are certain items that they refer to as "drop ships" and for those products, they are shipped directly from the manufacturers and if returned, must be shipped back to them. If the item is rather hefty then the shipping fees will add up.

To find out about any item that you would want to know that info for sure up front, just call CS and ask them if it is a "drop ship" as you need to know in the event of a return. I bought a Honeywell Air Purifier and did call HSN's CS and they were able to look up whether it came with a return label to HSN or it was a "drop ship." In that case, it did come with a label so I didn't worry about returning if needed. As it turned out, it works great so wouldn't have returned anyway.

If an item is defective, even if you have to front shipping, they will reimburse you. Or you could request a pre-paid label to the manufacturers.

I have only noticed "drop ships" with multiple part kitchen type items (like NutriBullet) but am sure there might be occasionally others. And they are likely to be heavier products. I know now though to call ahead of time and clarify where an item I am considering ships from and where it ships back to. CS has no problem researching that info for you. If someone just says they don't have that info, call back and get another CS rep who will do their job and look it up. It's not hard for them to find it but in my case, the Rep did need to read through all the product info to locate that information.

I have read in reviews that some customers made such a fuss that they also were refunded the shipping fees but don't know how easy or hard that is to accomplish.

I do find HSN CS Reps extremely willing to go above and beyond - I called to cancel an order the day after ordering and it had already shipped out but the CS Rep offered to give me a credit for the return since I did try to cancel the order. Have not had other electronic retailers ever offer that.

If in doubt and you are concerned about it, call before ordering and find out.

I don't understand the problem. Either you're returning it because it's defective, in which case you will not be charged for shipping; or you're returning it because you don't want it, in which case you should use their return label.
