Yes, butter. Never margarine.

Using a spreadable, light butter from Aldi.

Contains canola oil. Half the fats/calories of 100% butter.

Good tasting, affordable price.

-------

We have sticks of butter and margarine in our fridge, but I want to find what @x Hedge  uses just to give it a taste test.

Butter

Gave up fake stuff as a replacement about a decade ago.

I just am very mindful of how much I use, to keep the fat and calories in line.

Only butter now, usually on rolls or toasted English muffins -- sometimes on bread for a deli ham sandwich. I use only Land O' Lakes Butter spread with Olive Oil. It has a nice flavor. (It's salted butter.)

I don't put butter on vegetables except for a baked potato.

If I have pasta at home I'll use only butter as a "sauce".

Only salted butter (never, ever margarine) usually Challenge Butter (commissary) or whatever else - Land O Lakes, etc.  I personally cannot tell a difference in taste between any name brand American butter and the store brand.  I also like Kerrygold and oither European butters.

I take Prevastanin pill so I can eat like a human. Got tired of not being able to eat eggs, meat, butter, cottage cheese and choc milk.  Get my first reading in April to see if it's helped me to come down from chol count of 223.   If it's down to 200 I'll be happy.

I never did go back to cottage cheese and choc milk. Weird. Just don't desire it now. Those butter substitutes like I can't believe it's not butter are OK, but, I want to enjoy life. LOL

I use Kerrygold butter and I leave it out.  I always keep an additional pound of unsalted butter in fridge for baking.
