Grew up on salted butter and have never used margarine.  Kerry or Presidents (french brand) butter are my favorites.

@Nightowlz  Thank you for answering! I just ordered a Butter Bell and will give it a try. I love having toast with tea in the afternoon as a snack and have been using the spread but would prefer butter.

Growing up, my Mom used to bake with margarine.

I'm thinking that back in those days, it may have had less water content than it has today.

I prefer to bake with butter today.

We use the heart-health type spreads on toast and veggies, etc.

Salted Butter.  I mainly use it for cooking as I'm not a bread/dinner roll person.

Butter. Salted.  Kate's or KerryGold.

Of course I use a variety of oils for different  applications, but I assumed this thread was about real butter vs. some type of hydrogenated, chemical laden spread.

@faeriemoon

That's what I thought, too lol.

I use butter (salted), not margarine or substitutes and, like others, my diet includes olive oil, nuts, and avocadoes.

They're not mutually exclusive.
