I've been putting off getting an Instapot... I've been really trying to get rid of small appliances, etc that I don't use often. I just have too many things that I don't use! LOL But now I'm really thinking about getting one! What do you love about yours? Do you use it often? Thanks in advance ![]()

I've used pressure cookers for years because they're fast, non-fuss, easy and food seems infused with flavor....more so than usual. Best of all, I can use a cheap cut of meat and it will become 'fall apart' tender.
Instant Pot or Cooks Essentials, it doesn't matter. I even still have my old stove top model. They all do the same thing.

Insta pot just use mainly for hard beans prepared in 42 minutes. no soaking over night, cooking next day for hr and a half.
Ninja Foodi still rules !

For many recipes I actually prefer the results I get from my Le Creuset 5.5 qt. Dutch oven over pressure cooking and slow cooking.

I like my IP so much, I use it many times a week. Quick way to make chicken breasts,
I've made desserts in it, soups, beans, roasts, etc etc.
Sadly our time together has come to an end. Last week, after 6+ years together,
my IP died.
I'm thinking about upgrading to a Foodie, but I'd want to keep it on a cart and I hear
the cord won't reach to the plug. I will think more on that once I come across
a good deal - I want the 8qt.
Meanwhile, I'm missing my IP.

Almost daily a delicious meal is made using the IP. I have a small one for the RV and a larger for home use.

smart girl, no more baking roasts in oven, transfering to pressure cooker
all done in one pot. none of the new appliances have big long cords any more. Got to do with chld safety issues. The one on the foodi is sufficient for mine to sit on a tea cart and plug into the wall socket. I'd watch the videos here and on HSN.
not just roasts, ribs, chicken under bake and pressure cooking, but, air fryer too !
do frozen fries, shrimp, chicken wings all on air fryer option. All in one pot, one location, not going to oven to pressure cooker, from oven to air fryer, etc.
Educate yourself, then, buy between Bed and Bath with coupon, check the deals here at QVC, Amazon. Kohl's might be a good option too. Colors will only be here at Q, though.

Gentle reminder:
It's not called an instapot....but it's called an Instant Pot.
I love mine...use it every day.
Like that I can cook delay & not worry if I 'left the stove on'
when I leave during the day. Very safe.

@yellowrose Get the one with the handles on the inner pot! It is so much easier to lift out and the steam vent is very much improved! Max Evo I think. . . Williams Sonoma has them I know. I got a real deal on one there last year!

who cares, everybody knows what is being referred too.
There's enough **** rules, laws, regulations, don't need spelling of words
to be a big thing in a group of cooks.
