@Kachina624lol I've often wondered why if everything from China is so dangerous their population is so huge and growing.

Pardon me for not wanting to consume bleach. The Chinese frequently coat their garlic with a bleach to cover mold and also fumigate it with a neuro toxin called methyl chloride. The # of imported medicines and foods from China is staggering and needless. USA # 1. I am proud American who wants to support American farmers even if it costs more.

China buys thousands of tons of our agricultural products. I wonder if they say, "Ewwww, it was grown in the US so into the trash it goes?". It would make as much sense.

If some of you are so conscious of the country of origin of the food you eat, what the heck do you do when you eat out? Just wing it?

@Reever What is the source of your information? The only thing I see making such claims is an unsubstantiated report published in India about products sold there. It's scientific basis is questionable.

I will no longer knowingly consume or purchase anything that originates in China. I have that right and how my right affects someone's feelings is not a concern of mine.

@Reever- There you go. Aldi is a discount supermarket chain. To bring in those savings, they have to go cheap and usually means China. Although, on their website, there some produce items labelled USDA Organic.

If your concern is purchasing food grown in the US, then shop locally and pay more like Whole Foods and stay away from Aldi and research locally sourced food.
