I will join the Pull and Chop chorus in singing it's praises!  Worth it for onions alone!

@Kachina624 ...a couple of years ago I was really considering a Microwave, Convection, Air Fryer and ( I believe..) Toaster combination that was being sold as well as branded by the big  "A" of online shopping.  I'm glad I didn't jump until I could read some reviews because the product disappeared in about a year's time.

It was very attractive, and I think the concept was great, but they must not have all the kinks worked out of those combos yet.  I'm sure somebody will succeed in making one that delivers on all of those functions.

@Kachina624 @781Florist  I bought the Panasonic microwave convection oven.  It is great to have the extra cooking option especially fir a dinner like ham an scallop potatoes.  Still going strong 15 years later.

My home is now 17 years old.  Some things need to be replaced.  My heat pump conked out this week.  Rep,a cement planned for right after Christmas.  LM

About 15 years ago, I bought a combo microwave/convection oven which I only ever saw presented once.  I absolutely loved that thing until it quit working after just a few years.

I've bought plenty of worthless junk including those shears Mark Charles constantly pushes.  I've probably bought a half dozen sets, mostly for me but they never last long.  They just quit cutting.  Last time I got another, better quality, brand.

@Kachina624 Same here.  I also got those kitchen shears which stopped cutting after using them for about a year or so.  What junk!

I really needed good kitchen shears so I went on Amazon and checked out the reviews on several.  I purchased a pair that were more expensive but so far have been worth it since they have held up well.

Re: Best and Worst

[ Edited ]

@kate2357   I also have a chop & pull and it's great for chopping small amounts of food like celery, nuts etc.  I don't have to get out my big chopper for just a small amount.  It's also very easy and quick to clean.

Here it is K48049

I also have a Delonghi espresso machine.  Mine is an older version but I love it!  I love how it makes a nice froth just out of water & coffee!  The coffee come out so good!  I'm probably going to get a replacement when mine dies I love it so much!

I'm a Pull and Chop lover, too. I guess the worst was one of the knife sharpeners from a few years ago. Either I'm doing something wrong or it just doesn't help to sharpen my knives.

Who wants to pull on a pull chop gizmo. Food processor does the same thing with push of a button

I have a mini food processor that it super easy to use and clean that I use all the time.  In fact when my DDs were babies I used it to make baby food for them with it.  I just took food the rest of the family was eating and processed it to the appropriate texture for them.

I no longer use most of my kitchen gadgets and appliances so I donated them.

I rarely use my toaster oven/air fryer so I moved it to the basement. I have a double oven and use the small one. I compared costs to run the smaller oven vs. toaster oven/air fryer and it was pennies, literally, a year.

I have some semi-old tupperware that is still my favorite. I use them all the time. They last longer than anything else I've used.

My biggest splurge was a few years ago when I bought 2 sizes of All-Clad nonstick skillets (on sale). They still look like new and work great.

@haddon9

The chop and pull does look like a useful item to have for chopping up small qtys. I think I would use it for chopping up nuts the most. I currently use an old coffee bean grinder that was given to me years ago. Never used it for coffee as I have a nifty Starbucks coffee bean grinder my husband bought years ago to grind coffee beans. It holds about a weeks worth of beans and it's a favorite tool I should have mentioned.

My oldest kitchen gadget is also a favorite I forgot to mention. It's a Braun citus juicer. A relic at this point,  but it still works great. I use it a lot when fresh citrus becomes available and have fresh oj or fresh pink grapefruit juice. I think I have had it for at least 40 years. I know I had it before I married.

Best by far:  Kitchen Aid bowl lift mixer.  Awesome!

Worst:  Long ago I bought a set of drink containers with a blade on the bottom that was supposed to mix.  They were a mess.  They sell something similar today.  I assume it must be an improved model.
