Anyone else try their Corky's bacon-wrapped turkey?

Two years ago, I ordered these, some stuffing and cranberries inside, and they were delicious, lots of turkey, modest amount of stuffing, 17 carbs per serving.  I ordered them again last year, they nominally shipped but never left the warehouse, and the Q eventually refunded my money.  I ordered them ASAP during Christmas in July, with a ship date that meant we'd have them for Thanksgiving, since it is just DH and I.  DH's turn to cook this week, so he put them in the oven this afternoon, and we had green beans, a little cranberry sauce, and half a baked apple for dessert.

Instead of lots of turkey, we got a very thin slice of turkey breast filled with a huge lump of soggy stuffing!  The carbs on this year's batch were 25, and I guessed there'd be less turkey and more stuffing, but not the HUGE change we saw.  It tasted okay, but nowhere near as good as two years ago, it was really disappointing.  I'll be calling QVC's CS tomorrow morning to ask for a refund.

Did anyone else see the same decline in quality we saw from this Corky's product, or did we just get a bad batch?

I tried them last week and was shocked, as like you I've ordered in the past and really liked them.

This batch had a gummy hard center ball of what is considered stuffing wrapped in a thin tasteless layer of turkey.

Corky's should never have sold these in their current formulation, close to inedible.

A friend ordered them also and she promptly requested a refund too.

And PS I'm sorry they didnt work out for your Thanksgiving dinner. We had a 13lb turkey, a lot of work however breast meat very dry.

Made a decision for Christmas, will have our favorite sides, i.e stuffing with apples & bacon & roasted Brussels sprouts with cornish hens. Much less work. Smiley Happy

I agree! I also ordered these before and thought they were great. The order I have now is very disappointing (I am waiting for my review of the item to post as I wrote it earlier today).

Very little turkey, the stuffing was like "mush" and even the bacon was different. The taste was very salty.

I am going to call about this tomorrow.

I was looking forward to eating these too and searched all around for the turkey!  Good thing my guests got ill and couldn't come.  I would have been horrified to serve these.

Thank you, everyone, for chiming in.  I am sorry we were all disappointed with the quality of this product this year.  I was able to get a refund this morning, and did an online cancellation of the second order I still had scheduled, which was going to ship straight to my best friend, I would be embarrassed to give these as a gift.  Sadly, I guess I just have to give up on ordering food items from QVC, the quality has seriously degraded on so many lines I can't trust them any more.

Because the Corky's was so bad I immediately ordered Family Farms bacon wrapped chicken stuffed cordon bleu big 14oz.

Have you tried those?  What a world of difference and have even placed another order albeit on waitlist.

Also recently ordered Family Farms bacon wrapped stuffed cheese pork same size 14oz and delicious.

Just received Landies Bark bars broken and oozing stuffing so in place of those I put in another order for Squirrel Brand silver & gold almond toffee.  So delicious and fun too.

So for me sometimes QVC food works sometimes it doesn't but really pleased with the above items that are very good.

@rockygems123   Yes, we have gotten the stuffed chicken breasts, and those have been good, but they don't quite "feel" like Thanksgiving dinner the way the old Corky's turkey did.  Right now, our big freezer is so full of food we aren't getting new supplies of things we can't use right away.  I made an exception for the turkey breasts, and am disappointed, but that's the risk one takes when one buys prepared foods anywhere, we don't know until we taste it if it's any good or not.  I guess that's why Costco, for instance, pushes samples, lol!

I rarely buy food because of the rather high prices.  I did get the bacon wrapped pork on special and it is excellent.

As a finale to this saga, we found a Butterball turkey breast on a really good sale on Friday when we went grocery shopping, and today I roasted it with some small Yukon Gold potatoes, made some gravy, and some Holiday Stuffing-flavored Right Rice, and baked an eggnog pumpkin crustless pie, and we had a second and much more delicious Thanksgiving dinner as Sunday dinner.  I feel like the holiday season has now actually started, though I am trying to avoid starting it with an eggnog latte, as that is most certainly NOT as low-carb as our dinner was.  Woman Wink
