$99 for a roasted cooked turkey🙀

I was flicking the Christmas in July on HSN I almost choked when they were selling a 11 lb roasted turkey for $119 but today $99!!!!!

I am always shocked when I see the prices on shopping channels for pre-made frozen food.

i guess since i like to cook I wouldn't imagine paying that for turkey (and they offered a 8 lb ham for the same price) I'd go out to a nice restaurant for that $.

People pay $400 for a handbag.  I don't see the difference.

I hope the bag lasts longer than the turkey. LOL.

Probably because an expensive handbag lasts for a long time. Food DOESN'T, so there is a BIG difference.

The difference is that I can get a fresh roasted turkey at my local grocery store for a fraction of the price being charged here.

BUT, the bag can't make a lasting memory for the whole family at a holiday meal!  So I'd be more concerned about that. . . I can assure you that some Thanksgivings I would have HAPPILY paid $200 for a good turkey at the moment.  People are laughing and having a good time and asking if the turkey is ready and I'm in the boiling hot kitchen pouring sweat and looking at it and worrying.  Yeah, I would have gladly forked over 2 bills for that.

You can get get a complete cooked holiday dinner for less than that.  I do who would order it 5 months before the holidays.   It's only turkey.
