I had no idea that once something went on clearence it can go back up to full priced. Waited until payday to order this and now and it was still on sale as of Wed. now it is full price
It was $199 now its back to almost $400

I used to order items by check, then within 10 days, after payday, would change my form of payment to debit card. So sorry the price went up. Keep watching it, maybe it will lower again?

I've frequently seen QVC.com use Clearance in place of the word Sale. When they have a sale and show specials online, they're usually marked Clearance instead of Sale. Other times they are marked Sale. They seem to use those words interchangeably when they should not.

Yes, I have seen this happen and not just at QVC.

I thought when the Host sell clearance items .....they say this item is on clearance when its sold out it will not return to inventory....
How can they say that...then return the item back to regular price...

Was it advertised as "clearance" or as some other special price sale?
MY understanding is and has always been that when its on "clearance", its the final quantities and won't return (usually because it would cost too much to bring back again at the same original asking price).
A "special" or a "this show only" or "gem days celebration"-sort of a promo price is a "sale" but not "clearance".
So you're saying it was sold on air and online as a "clearance" item but now is back to its original asking price???

That is exactly it. I have never seen it happen before. It has been on clearence for about two weeks. I had it on my wish list and went as far as checkout but decided to just pay cash on payday and as of yesterday it went back to the $399 price (it was $199 on clearence. It was really weird, I guess it was just not meant to be, but it stinks that the prices can do that.

I don't recall if I saw it on air, I found it on line while looking for Rose Gold Clad Ripka and I was so excited, not any more. ![]()
