Yes, I've seen it happen.  Years ago I bought a ring that was on clearance and the hosts said that it would never be reordered.  It completely sold out.  A couple of years later they reordered the ring and the price was higher than the original price had been.  I don't think it happens often, but it DOES happen!

There's a Michael Dawkins ring I've been watching.  It WAS on sale for about $70 - Now, I see it's been marked up to $162.  They can have it !!!

Follow the boucing price.  They seem to be masters of it here.  That said, it does happen elsewhere, even TJ Maxx, where I saw the same bag at full price, marked down, marked down even lower and a year later go back to full price...  Makes no sense no matter who does it.

OP, did you call customer service about this?    If it was something I really wanted, I would give it a try and see if there was any chance of a "markdown" ... or at least have them explain when this is done.

There is a difference, I'm pretty sure, between having the same item that is STILL in inventory change price and another item that SELLS OUT at one price but is remanufactured only to come back at a higher price (whether due to material or labor cost).  Right?

I think SFGIANTSGIRL is talking about something still in stock.

I've seen it as well and was floored when I did, always assuming that a Clearance price was just that, clearing an item out at a super low price until it was GONE.  Apparently the Q has different definitions of sale terms.

What this does, unfortunately, is make the customer a bit goosey about buying....  Woman Frustrated

That's not the only piece.  I had my eye on a Michael Dawkins ring that was down to $88 & change and yesterday up to $129.  Never in my life have I ever heard of reversing prices.  Shame on you QVC.

It was the same item and the SKU number didn't change either.  The price just went from clearence $199 back to $398.  It was at the $199 price for almost two weeks and just the night before payday.  Figures.  I may call CS on it but for now, I am just irrated that I need to.  Not a good pratice Q.

Yes, what is going on with that?  I saw an MD ring on clearance and now the price is up over $40.  Who does the Q think they are fooling?

I had my eye on a jacket during the Nordstroms recent anniversary sale for 100. I went to buy it today as a gift and it is back to original price of 150.
