I see this question has been asked before...any recommendations on where to purchase loose gemstones?   There must be somewhere, right?

Jewelry television sells them. Go to their website and check them out.
The website is your best bet as they don't sell them every day on thier show..

Almost every city in the US has seasonal gem and mineral shows sponsored by local groups to gigantic affairs in big cities put on by production companies.  Have you tried the Internet, eBay?  The world is at your fingertips.  Hard to believe anyone would ask such a question if she has Google.

I prefer to buy them in person. But if the seller guarantees your purchase with an agreement to return without obligation then I would shop online. JTV and SHOPLC.

Gem Shopping Network sells a ton of them.  They also sell semi mounts to your specification (14K, 18K, platinum, how many diamonds you want surrounding your gem stone, etc) Although the loose stones are reasonable in price, the semi mounts are very expensive.  Some in 18K are in the $5,000.00 range.  Their gem stone colors are incredible and the semi mounts are amazing....but you get what you pay for.  In Gem Shopping....a lot of money.  You would pay the same in individual jewelry stores too.  Gem stones need diamonds to look good.  You can skip the diamonds, but what you want won't look so good.

There are many sources to find info on all types of questions.  I think people come here for answers is because they trust their QVC friends to give good recommendations.  At least that's what I do.
