Re: Jai TSV Bracelet

[ Edited ]

Just received the middle baby to go with the TSV.  Perfect fit, but, the clasp is a pain in the butt to get off one handed.  For sure it isn’t falling off.  Will have to keep it a while to see if it becomes easier to manage.  Hope so because otherwise I love it.  Does anyone else have it?7A59E4E0-58A9-436B-917A-39A78E8293DE.jpeg

My kalahari cuff is dark and dull looking compared to the chain link cuff and the kalahari bangle.

Yes, it does have an underlying oxidation that is part of the design.  Does yours look like mine?  Take a polishing cloth to it and see if you like it more.

I sent my flower cuff back. I was underwhelmed by it. I expected a nicer bracelet than what I received. It was smaller than expected.

I sent my rope bracelet back too.  At first I thought I liked it but as time went by I wasn't wowed by it.

I returned the forget me not cuff.  Nothing special about it at all.  I was very disappointed.  The edges on the flowers arre very rough.  Not nicely finished.  I won't buy from this line again.  Artisan Collection of Bali is by far better.  Beautiful hand crafted pieces.  This Jai line is overpriced and overhyped.

I ended up deciding to send back both the TSV basketweave cuff and the matching ring.  I bought a polishing cloth and tried to brighten up the cuff.  The entire cloth was black (as well as my hands) when I finished, and while it looked better, the color was still drab and dull.  The ring was a nice bright silver color, but the two did not match at all.  I need to learn that I am just not a silver girl.  I have many JAI pieces that I love, but most are silver with 14k accents.  Silver does not look good on me becasue of my coloring, but the 14k really warms it up.  I will stick to my lattice pieces and my lotus pieces until Scott brings more two tone items.  My absolute favorite JAI piece of all time is the box chain bracelet with the 14k hammered balls.  The silver is beautiful and bright, and the balls add the touch of warmth.  I actually own three of these and wear them together often.

I just am not a critter person.  I don't like the huge pieces either.  I have some beautiful, well made pieces that I love, but lately, I have just not been enjoying the designs.  The prices have also really increased.  When JAI first came to QVC it was an affordable way to have the Hardy look.  Now, I can buy a Hardy piece on EBAY cheaper than a JAI piece.    I will continue to watch the JAI shows in hopes of pretty classic pieces that used to be in the JAI line, but for now, I will just enjoy the pieces that I have.

I ordered the XS rope to wear with a Jai small croco cuff and a silver bracelet that was made by a local artist. The XS rope cuff is larger than my S cuff. The new one is beautiful, shiny, and looks nice with the croco cuff so I am going to try exchanging it to see if I actually get an XS.
