Re: Have You Ever Lost Jewelry ...

I bought "Amy's Ring" and necklace to take while traveling.  That way, I could leave my "good" ring and necklace in the safe deposit box.  Well, the necklace always had a catch that sometimes would go months and everyting was fine, but sometimes I noticed that the necklace catch had opened.  Three times I felt the necklace sliding down my neck and was able to retrieve it before it was lost.  Right before the vacation, I took the neklace to the jewler to have the catch changed.  The jewler thought I was crazy as he said he kept trying out the catch and everything was fine. My neklace was lost on vacation as it opened some time while sightseeing.  Of course, Amy's necklace wasn't availabe again after I got home.  I bought another on eBay and it came with a better neklace and clasp.  So, it all worked out.

Re: Have You Ever Lost Jewelry ...

Many years ago I lost a 14 kt gold Raphael angel ring I got from the Q. It had a rope border around the angel and I loved it. I lost it at a movie theater, believe it was in the ladies room when I washed my hands. Think it slipped off my finger with the paper towels and there it went-into the trash. Was way too late by the time I noticed that I had lost it.

My Mom replaced that ring with an 18kt Raphael angel ring from QVC, it was way back when 18kt was affordable. I love this ring and still wear it often.

Re: Have You Ever Lost Jewelry ...

I love stories like this where some one thinks they've lost something so precious and then find it.

My husband and I married very young, in our teens. We had a huge argument one night. When I got out of the car I threw my engagement and wedding rings at him. When he left I got a flashlight and found my engagement ring. My weding ring was long gone, so I thought. About a year later my husband was cleaning out our car. For some reason he was able to pull the bottom of the back seat out to vacuum under it. He saw what he thought was a penny. No! It was my beloved wedding ring. I couldn't believe it. If my husband had not been able to pull the bottom of the back seat out and looked for change before he vacuumed my ring would have been lost forever. It's the most precious thing I own. Of course I never did such a stupid thing again whenever we had an argument.

I'm so happy for all of you that have lost something so special and then found it.
